Gratitude Stories: Jack’s 80th Birthday

“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”

– Mahatma Gandhi

You are never too old nor too young to celebrate and share why love is forever young. It’s the most extraordinary life has ever provided – knowing that you and I are loved. That’s  exactly what John did for his father-in-law, collaborating with others to give the most meaningful gift on earth. Because…. Why not?

Why did you think it was a good idea for this person to receive a Tribute?

John (Son): Because he lived a life worth living and is surrounded by loved ones and friends that admire him beyond imagination.

What is your favorite thing about this person?

John: He is and has been the best father in the world to me.

What were the circumstances when they received their Tribute? (ie. Where, When, How?)

John: We played the Tribute right after was all (party of 60) sang him “Happy Birthday”

What was their reaction while watching their Tribute?

John: Not a dry eye in the crowd. It was the single greatest showing and outpouring of love and affection that I have ever seen at a Birthday party. The servers were all crying as well.

How did this make you personally feel?

John: Like a million dollars when it was played. Jack called me days later after he went home to view it alone with his wife and was balling crying as he explained how much he appreciated the Tribute and loved me like a son.

Please ask the Tribute recipient how it made him/her feel to receive their Tribute.

John: Jack couldn’t be more grateful for the time and effort each and every one of us put into sharing our feelings about Jack. He said he will watch it over and over.
