Want to Create an Amazing Recruiting Video in One Day?

There’s no question about it — today, showcasing employee sentiment is essential to making your growing company stand out. We live in the Glassdoor-age, my friends, and the voices and opinions of your employees are becoming significant factors when recruiting new talent.

Panicked, you may say: But I simply don’t have time for this — there’s a bottom-line to focus on! How would I even begin capturing the best of what my employees have to say?!

And to that, we say: don’t you worry. Tribute is here.

We are excited to announce that last week, Cheddar — the on-demand video news network — used Tribute to create an awesome video (above) of Cheddar employees sharing exactly why they love their jobs. The kicker? It took Cheddar less than one (1!) hour to gather all these videos.

So thrilled with the final video — a highlight reel edited by the Tribute team — Cheddar even shared it on live TV.

Tribute has emerged as the easiest and most efficient way to market your company to prospective employees and potential clients. Showcase exactly why your company is unique, while letting your employees be heard.

Gratitude Stories: Ilene’s 21st Birthday

tribute-line

Why did you think it was a good idea for this person to receive a Tribute?

Emily (Friend): My best friend was turning 21 on the weekend of Arts Fest, a time when students return to campus for a quick summer reunion. She was having a birthday party but I also knew that most of her friends would be unable to make it for the celebration. That’s when I realized that Tribute would be a great way for everyone to be able to share in the festivities without having to be physically present.

What is your favorite thing about this person?

Emily: My favorite thing about Ilene is how she is such a positive force in the world. She has such a happy and positive disposition and a genuine desire to help others.

What were the circumstances when they received their Tribute? (ie. Where, When, How?)

Emily: Ilene received her Tribute on the eve of her 21st birthday. We played the video for her before her friends took her to the bars to celebrate. We sat her in a chair in front of the TV and all of her friends gathered around to watch.

What was their reaction while watching their Tribute?

Emily: Ilene was so surprised by the people in the video. Not only did we have her friends from college and home but we had reached out to her entire family. She was in a half crying half laughing state for the majority of the time.

How did this make you personally feel?

Emily: I felt so incredibly proud to be able to call her my friend that I started tearing up myself.

Please ask the Tribute recipient how it made him/her feel to receive their Tribute.

Ilene (Recipient): My Tribute was honestly the highlight of my birthday! Getting surprised with heartfelt messages from my family and friends made me so beyond happy! I am so thankful for my friends for putting it together!

Gratitude is the simplest path to a happy life. We’ll be the first to admit that with so much going on each day, it’s so easy to forget. That’s exactly why we created our #GratitudeStories feature. Each week our staff cuts together a one-minute highlight reel from an inspiring Tribute and tells the story behind it. We hope these videos serve as a little reminder to say the nice things in your head and celebrate your friends every single day.

Gratitude Stories: Maura’s 24th Birthday

“Gratitude is not only the greatest of virtues but the parent of all the others.”

   – Marcus Tullius Cicero

For this week’s #GratitudeStory we’re thrilled to introduce Peggy and her daughter Maura. Yet another awesome teacher gets the credit she truly deserves. Teachers are often the unsung heroes and we are here to help change that.

tribute-line

Why did you think it was a good idea for this person to receive a Tribute?

Peggy (Mother): She moved to Shanghai, China, to work. The first few months of being so far away from family and friends can be difficult. We wanted her to know that we all love her and miss her.

What is your favorite thing about this person?

Peggy: My favorite thing about Maura, my daughter is her energy for a lifetime and learning and accepting new challenges that come her way.

What were the circumstances when they received their Tribute? (ie. Where, When, How?)

Peggy: We sent out the link via an email newsletter, placed it on our website, did paid advertising on Facebook, bought a 1/2 full-color ad in the local newspaper, announced it during a televised Selectboard meeting, and made a display in the Library.

What was their reaction while watching their Tribute?

Peggy: I received a tearful, grateful thank you via WeChat, and that was for all her family and friends who contributed to her Birthday Tribute.

How did this make you personally feel?

Peggy: I was thrilled that the Tribute allowed my daughter to know she was remembered and always will be remembered and loved no matter where she is living.

Please ask the Tribute recipient how it made him/her feel to receive their Tribute.

Peggy: “I’m crying right now!!!!  Thank you, Mama … I  loved it sooooo much! How did you end up organizing all that?”

Tribute is revolutionizing the way brands capture user testimonial

Consumers are becoming content creators, sharing video and photos across social channels as a testament to their brand loyalty — marketing their favorite brands along the way. But while this content may be branded, User-Generated Content isn’t advertising — it’s a conversation.

That’s what makes UGC so powerful…

  • 51% of consumers trust UGC over other information on a company site
  • 92% of consumers worldwide say they trust word-of-mouth more than advertising
  • Customer-made reviews about a product are trusted 12x more than promo marketing content
  • 86% of Millennials call UGC “a positive indicator of brand quality”
  • Website visitors are 64% more likely to buy product from online store after watching a video

User Generated Video made easy

Tribute is excited to announce two signature services that simplify the process of gathering user video testimonials.

UGC

Three. Simple. Steps.

  1. We design a custom landing page. Tell Tribute the particulars of your campaign and the Tribute team will build a video portal that matches your brand aesthetic.
  2. Collect videos. Invite people to join by email, or send custom URL out via social media. Users record directly on the page using their mobile device or computer.
  3. Professional Edit and Distribution. Tribute’s professional editors can turn your UGV into beautiful highlight reels, while also delivering high converting video ads that are ready to post across your social channels.
Caribou

To create a fresh look for their annual campaign to support CancerCare, Caribou Coffee used Tribute’s tech to create a User-Generated Video Contest, giving audiences a platform to share meaningful stories of caregivers who impacted their lives. Caribou donated $5 to CancerCare for every video submitted — gaining 100,000+ impressions, and features on CBS, MediaPost, and MarketWired.

General Assembly used Centralized Testimonial Collection and gathered 700 testimonials from GA students across the globe. The Tribute team turned these videos into a highlight reel to share across all networks during #TeacherAppreciationWeek.

Matt Brimer // General Assembly “We had been looking for an easy way to collect video testimonials from our customers and Tribute made it so easy. Excited to work together for years to come.”

Kelly Jones // Legend PR “Thank you for such a great partnership! Caribou is very happy with the videos that your team put together and we loved working with your wonderful video platform.”

Wendy Kopp // Teach for America “I wanted to thank you and the incredible Tribute team for making this year’s campaign a success. I am so grateful for the Tribute platform for allowing us to showcase the critical work and impact our corps members are having in the lives of students and families across the country.”

Gratitude Stories: Grace’s Graduation

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.”

– Melody Beattie
